Within our Health and WaSH programme, we focus on health system strengthening and community mobilisation while adopting innovative and digital solutions. Within this project, Tdh aims to contribute to the reduction of maternal and neonatal sepsis rates in government-run health care facilities.
The project supports infrastructural upgrades to improve water and sanitation and facilitate environmental hygiene training for health service providers including installing cleaning and hygiene monitoring systems. We also focus on system strengthening through WASHFIT where both government staff and members from the community are mobilised to monitor and maintain the facilities. The WASHFIT committees are formed, trained and regular hand holding is provided to ensure sustainability.
